Social Scoot integrates artificial intelligence capabilities to help you create compelling social media content more efficiently. We believe in transparency about how AI is used within our platform, what data is processed, and the choices available to you.

2. AI-Powered Features

Social Scoot uses AI to assist with the following features:

  • AI Assistive Writing (Auto-Post): When you enable auto-posting, our AI generates draft content for your social media posts based on your settings, preferences, and connected account context.
  • Content Generation: You can use AI to generate or refine content for your posts directly within the composer. This includes drafting captions, rewriting text, and expanding or condensing your ideas.
  • Hashtag Suggestions: Our AI analyzes your post content and suggests relevant hashtags to help maximize discoverability and engagement across platforms.

3. How Your Data Is Used by AI

When you use AI features, the following data may be sent to our AI provider for processing:

  • The text content of your post draft or prompt
  • Context about the target social media platform
  • Any preferences or instructions you provide (e.g., tone, style, topic)

Important: All AI processing is handled server-side through our secure backend. Your data is transmitted securely and is only used to generate the requested output. We do not use your content to train AI models.

4. Third-Party AI Provider

Social Scoot uses OpenAI's GPT technology to power our AI features. When you use AI-assisted features, your input is processed through OpenAI's API.

OpenAI processes data in accordance with their own terms and policies. We encourage you to review the following:

Social Scoot uses the OpenAI API with data privacy protections enabled. Per OpenAI's API data usage policy, content submitted through the API is not used to train OpenAI's models.

5. Your Choices

AI features in Social Scoot are entirely optional. You always have the choice to:

  • Write and schedule posts without any AI assistance
  • Choose your own hashtags instead of using AI suggestions
  • Review and edit any AI-generated content before publishing
  • Disable auto-posting features at any time

No content is ever published automatically without your review and approval, unless you have explicitly enabled auto-posting.

6. Data Retention

AI-generated content is treated the same as any other content you create on Social Scoot. We do not separately retain the prompts or inputs you provide to AI features beyond what is needed to fulfil your request. For more details on our data retention practices, please refer to our Privacy Policy.

We may update this AI Transparency page as our AI features evolve or as our third-party providers change their terms. We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page when changes are made.
